By creating a Penny Point account or using the Penny Point service (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and PennyPoint (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operators of Penny Point.
Penny Point is a personal finance web application that allows you to track transactions, manage budgets, monitor recurring items, view analytics, and perform other personal financial management tasks. The Service is provided on a subscription basis following a 30-day free trial.
Free trial: New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start your trial.
Subscription: After your trial ends, continued access to the Service requires a paid subscription at $9 per month. Payment is processed by Paddle. By subscribing, you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Refunds: All payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record. You may request a full refund within 30 days of your payment date by contacting us. Refund requests are processed by Paddle in accordance with their refund policy.
Trial expiry: If your trial expires and you do not subscribe, your access to the app will be suspended. Your data will be retained for 30 days, during which you can subscribe to regain access or export your data.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
You retain ownership of all financial data and content you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. We are not liable for financial decisions you make based on data in the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
